At River Blades we believe in building self esteem and confidence through several unique events throughout the year. We had opportunity to “give back” and teach philanthropy through sport with the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation over the MEA weekend.
Our River Blades Figure Skating team raised $8,075 for the Scott Hamilton Cares Foundation Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ Ice Show held at the St. Louis Park Ice Arena Sat. Oct. 2, 2022
The team skaters performed a Heroes for Hope routine, and three of our skaters earned solos for their fundraising efforts. We had an inspirational evening performing alongside Emcee Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton, US Figure Skating Champion Ryan Bradley, and several local talented figure skaters.
The event raised over $21,000 for the Scott Hamilton Foundation as well as the M Fairview Children’s Masonic Hospital.
